Bill Borez has been a producer and engineer with a career spanning nearly two decades of music. Starting his career signed to London Records and gaining multiple top 40 hits under the acclaimed underground persona of Zero B he played to crowds of 20,000 plus at some of the biggest Raves ever staged in the UK including Fantasia, Raindance, Butterloogie, the legendary Scottish Streetraves and Nocturnal.
He went on to run the infamous Effective records studios as their in-house producer/engineer on London’s Southbank working with such artists as Hanson and Nelson, Carl Cox, Jeremy Healy, Rachel Auburn, Blue Peter, Strike and Bosca Beats, Effective records chalked up an impressive run of Number 1 records on the UK dance charts. Moving to West London based Fresh Records in 1998 and the FreskaNova label he worked on projects such as Hal 9000, The Freska Allstars, Cut and Paste, Bill, Ben and Badgio and the Freestylers to name but a few.
In the late 90’s Borez teamed up with Barry Ashworth forming big beat act General Narco and produced/remixing for the Dub Pistols he went on to write as the Drum Monkeys and The Dogtown Clash forming the breakbeat label Westway Records with Barry Ashworth and Carl Loben.
Bill Borez has also written advertising music for Blue chip clients such as HSBC, Rover Cars, Guiness and McDonalds as well as particpiating in the Canne Film festival soundtrack award winning film Raining Stones by Director Ken Loach.
Bill Borez is currently actively involved in the British dance scene producing and engineering styles from House, Electro House, Urban, Breakbeat, Drum and Bass and Dub. Future Projects include a rehash of General Narco with releases on Nice Up and Ghetto Funk already in theh pipeline, plus a return of the legendary Zero B with upcoming Bass music releases as well as writing new material for the Dub Pistols.
